Mrs. Betty Cutts

Betty is a housewife and community volunteer with a Master’s Degree
in Elementary Education. She has taught as a volunteer teacher in a nursing
home, many vacation Bible schools, enrichment classes at Rowan County Middle
School, an English as a second language (ESL) program that her church, and
two summer English camps in China. She has also served as a volunteer court
appointed special advocate (CASA), hospital Pink Lady, and with Meals on
Wheels. Presently she is chairperson of the Yangshuo Committee of Morehead
Sister Cities and recently spearheaded the Morehead Wheelchairs for Peace
drive that donated 93 wheelchairs from the people of Morehead, KY to
handicapped people in Yangshuo, Guangxi, China, Morehead’s sister city. She
and her husband David have two sons who are engineers with national
companies. Betty has enjoys traveling and has gone to Haiti, Honduras,
India, and Taiwan on short-term mission trips with her church. |

Phyllis is semi-retired working two days a week at
Southern Ohio Medical Center in the Monitored Care Unit
in Portsmouth, Ohio. She loves bedside patient care as
it gives her the opportunity to anoint and pray for
patients who desire that. She is an Oncology Certified
Nurse and gives chemotherapy on the unit. She has been
married for 45 years (in November 2008) to Arthur. They
have two sons, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. |

David is a retired physics teacher at Morehead State University. His
passion is tennis, which he plays nearly daily. He acquired his PhD from
the University of Tennessee where he met his future wife Betty, who was then
studying for a degree in Home Economics. He grew up in Tabernacle, New
Jersey where his family had a blueberry and cranberry farm. David likes any
kind of puzzles especially word puzzles. He is an avid reader of science
fiction. He enjoys traveling also and has been to Europe, China, and the
Middle East. |
Michael Howard

Michael has recently joined the Blessing Hands Board of Directors. He is an Instructor of Mathematics
at Morehead State University and a pastor at Hillsboro United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, Kentucky. Michael
received a BS in Mathematics and Computer Programming from Morehead State University and is currently pursuing an
MBA in Economics and Corporate Finance. He is also pursuing an MA in Theology from Asbury Theological Seminary in
Wilmore, Kentucky. In his spare time, Michael enjoys songwriting and playing the guitar, hiking, mountain
climbing, traveling, teaching Bible study courses, and reading philosophy. Michael is married to Seung-yeon and resides in
Morehead, Kentucky.
